For those of you that may have been curious about the status of the freshly re-branded Studio Retcon, I’m here to share the first of many content updates. While life has been crazy as usual, I’ve still managed to keep my eye on the prize. Kazer and Patch is still the big focus, but the YouTube channel is begging for an audience, and I’m ready to start delivering. Be it pride, or arrogance even, I’ve kept myself from posting regularly in the past in fear that my work wouldn’t be as perfect as I’d like. I’ve realized that this idea, is doing more damage than I thought it would.
I started Omgitskazer (now Studio Retcon) in 2012 with the release of my first video about playing games on the hardest difficulties available. On the heels of my first idea Kazer VS came Awkward Moments in Halo, the first big success of my YouTube career. However, something bad happened. I can blame a number of variables, but the truth of it is that I just stopped pushing myself. I can look back now and obviously see that I just mismanaged my content and closed myself off from gaining an audience. As of this writing, I have 283 subscribers. That’s it. Looking into my numbers a little deeper also reveals that right now, any time I release a video it never actually makes it to my subs. I have no audience, and I’m to blame.
Sob story aside, it’s time to get back to business. It’s time to release videos, REGULARLY!
Part of the re-brand was to allow me to be a little bit more expressive with my work; whether its music videos, or Halo content (of course), gaming videos, or even some live-action stuff in the future, content is inbound.
Here’s the first of many to come. Go subscribe to the channel if you haven’t yet, I hope you come along for the ride…
